Wing Chun is a traditional Southern Chinese Kung Fu. It is a concept-based Chinese martial art and style of self-defense that focuses on close-range combat. It is developed and originated in southern China around 300 years ago.

The Wing Chun KongFu is rather interesting as it is a developed version of KungFu that exploits flaws in other martial arts and offers tiny fighters an advantage. It was well established by the Buddhist nun Ng Mui, a Shaolin Kung Fu expert and the name was named after Ng Mui's first student, a woman called Yim Wing Chun.

Wing Chun gradually expanded throughout southern China. It grew in prominence after Grandmaster Ip Man began openly teaching in China and Hong Kong. It is also spread through Hong Kong and China movies, such as Ip Man and Enter the Dragon. Therefore, many people nowadays are familiar with Wing Chun thanks to the late martial arts hero Bruce Lee or the iconic Ip Man film series.
